Last night Comcast removed MSNBC from Atlanta's basic cable. We have the digital package and it was moved to the next tier. I called and talked to someone in a call center in Mexico. They told me we could get MSNBC if we shelled out an added $20 a month, but they have a deal where we could get HBO (a premium channel) for just $7.99 a month. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but come on guys! I went on line and chatted with someone who used weird phrases like: thanks for bringing this to our knowledge. BRINGING THIS TO OUR KNOWLEDGE!!!! I can see that I'm not going to get anywhere with Comcast, since they've obviously done this in other cities, so I'll be cancelling by phone, internet, cable bundle and find other alternatives. We can get one free cable box, but of course it requires going to them to get it and will only work on one tv in the house. Did you ever get answers to the good questions you posed at the end of your letter quoted in the Boston cable article?
